Dear friends and family,

Some time ago I was in Louvain to see the photographs a photo friend had made in Nepal about a volunteers project for underprivileged children and their family. My friend introduced me to some members of Cross Borders, the organisation behind this project. The talk I had and the photos I saw made such an impression on me, that I decided to go to Nepal and work there as a volunteer with those children.

Making a decision is one thing. To carry it out is another thing and that costs money. Money to get in Nepal, money to live there. All together about € 2000. That is quite an amount. It makes such a hole in my pension that I can't save it up all by myself.
But I am so eager to Nepal. To help the children over there getting a better future. Here in Belgium my children and grandchildren are well off. The children of Nepal have to be well off too and I want to do my part in that.

I promised Cross Border that I am coming. I have to keep that promise of course. Could you help me to help the deprived kids in Nepal ? My children and grandchildren are already sponsoring me. Will you be my sponsor too ? Every euro is welcome - the sum of many small donations is a huge sum. If you donate more than needed ? That money is for the children in Nepal !

If you want to know more about the projects of Cross Borders, visit http://www.stichting-veldwerk.org/.

PS This website will keep you informed about your sponsor activities, the preparation of my journey to and my stay in Nepal. Of course I'll show you my photos. If you like, you can give comments too. The website will be on air till the beginning of April 2008, when I am home again.
When I leave ? January 3, 2008 !
